Don get me wrong, I like a lot of these designs as pieces of illustrative art and it a fun/interesting exercise. but here the thing: some of the originals are just classics. They are as iconic as any brand logo. Take every single team in the NFC North, for example: Bears, Packers, Lions, Vikings. I wouldn do a single thing to the current ones. They simply beautiful and scream pure toes in the mud, bloody knuckles, breath turned to little puffs of smoke on a late December morning kind of football. The sort of football that helped put a man on the goddamn moon. They are so utterly unpretentious and unfuckwithable that if anyone ever tried to give them a significant redesign I think every single bald eagle in North America would keel over and die, and from then to eternity every apple pie ever baked in the Western hemisphere blackhawksteamproshop.com/Marian_Hossa_Jersey would come out tasting like rotten cabbage. In other words, the communists would win.

But in all seriousness, it the simplicity that makes a uniform work. Coming to this problem, thinking as a designer looking to make the uniform itself "work" and not as a marketer bent on selling more t shirts and hats, my belief is that all you need is a distinct main color and an alternative color, and that it. The fine details of many of these beautiful illustrations (and indeed many of the glossy fresh logos of the newer or "revamped" teams) are lost in the shuffle of ten tons of meat and testosterone colliding at hyper sonic speeds. All anyone sees are the colors and the numbers. Everything else is superfluous.

Of course all teams need names and there nothing wrong with using a little creative flair to make the uniform more appealing, but my conclusion, as a designer, would be that richly illustrated logos are unnecessary and less appealing than a simple single color graphic. Not because "less is more", either, but rather because "more is lost".

LITTLE ROCK Arkansas State Police say a 12 year old Mayflower boy was killed in a crash on the Interstate 430 bridge over the Arkansas chi flat irons River in Little Rock. Thursday. According to a preliminary report, Raphael Skinner Jr. died when the vehicle he was riding in left the road and crashed.
State police say five others from Mayflower were injured in the wreck, including four children ranging in age from 4 to 6.
A spokesman for the hospital said one of the injured children, 4 year old Raven Brown, remains in critical condition. Cheap Snapbacks Conditions were not available for the other passengers.

You hear these guys, but when he came out and sang ’Ring of Fire,’ that voice, it’s unbelievable. Pat Monahan from Train, he’s amazing, I just did something with him. Rhett Miller, who tore it up, Willie Nelson.And then they did a thing where they did the Highwaymen thing, where we did a song called ’The Highwaymen.’ Of course, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings are dead, so Shooter Jennings did his dad’s part and Jamey Johnson [was also] on it. It was amazing.
